Natural Language Processing tools for Cornish

Toulys Argerdh Yeth Naturel Kernewek

I have for a while aspired to develop some Natural Language Processing tools for Cornish. I am putting them online now in an effort to draw some of that work together and in time extend what I have done. I have mostly used Python to code these tools, including the Natural Language Toolkit library. These tools are being made available, with a GNU General Public Licence on the source code, at my Github repository.

Conference presentations

I gave a presentation based on the work I have been doing for the Cornish Language Office on the new online dictionary of the Standard Written Form of Cornish at the Wikimedia Celtic Knot 2019 conference. My slides are available on Wikimedia Commons.

I presented on some of my work in producing natural language processing tools for Cornish at the Skians 2016 Cornish language research network conference. Here are the slides, with a slightly extended version here including a section on using WordNet to find synonyms in translation memory, and some additional notes.

Porting Cornish Natural Language tools to Javascript

I have ported some of my NLP tools to Javascript.
